Who we are
Cortexley is an ecommerce and custom software agency. Our website is https://cortexley.com. You can reach us at hello@cortexley.com.
What we collect and why
When you send us a form, we collect what you enter: your name, email address and message, plus anything optional you add (phone or WhatsApp number, company, the service and budget you picked). Alongside that we record which page the form was on, the website or campaign that brought you here, your browser type, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address that we use only to stop spam. We use all of this solely to reply to your enquiry and manage any project that follows. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Form submissions are stored in our own database on our web host (Hostinger) and emailed to our team. We don’t pass them to any third-party form service or sell them to anyone. We keep an enquiry only for as long as we need it to reply and to manage any work that follows, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga) and sends Google usage data such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. It never receives what you type into our forms. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy, and you can block it with Google’s opt-out add-on or your browser’s cookie settings.
We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we don’t sell your data to anyone.
AI-assisted work
Cortexley uses AI tools (including the Claude API by Anthropic) in parts of our internal workflow and in some client deliverables. We do not input personally identifiable information from contact form submissions into AI tools. If you engage us for a project that involves AI, we will discuss data handling with you before any work begins.
Third-party links
Our website links to external sites including client live stores, LinkedIn, and Instagram. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies directly.
Your rights
If you have sent us a form and would like a copy of what we hold, or want it deleted, email us at hello@cortexley.com and we will action your request promptly.
Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and jurisdictions with applicable data protection law have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
